Construction Management Agent (CMa)
The CM Agent (CMa) serves in an advisory capacity to the client. In the CMa role, we will shepherd the client, consultants, and stakeholders through the design and construction processes, covering both the big picture and fine-grained details of project delivery. As the project's needs, expectations, challenges, and opportunities emerge, the CMa will tap into our extensive bank of supplemental professional resources. Our ability to add expertise where needed—in architecture, engineering, construction, cost estimating, schedule management, safety management, construction inspection, construction administration, and contract compliance—allows DB Construction & Consulting to apply the right expertise and resources for the client’s benefit regardless of circumstance

Construction Management At-Risk (CMAR)

The Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) process has two phases: Design and Construction. By utilizing the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) method the CMAR largely eliminates the potential for adversarial relationships that can predominate in non-negotiated construction programs. When impediments to success arise, DB Construction & Consulting works side-by-side with architects, engineers, and owners to understand challenges and assess solutions that balance cost, schedule, quality, and constructability for the good of the whole project. The owner’s risk is limited through our advocacy in best-value decision making, precise project management and performance measurement processes once construction begins.
